The mission of the new Draper Museum of Natural History at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center is to promote increased understanding of, and appreciation for, the relationships binding humans and nature in the American West. Our firm's responsibility included site design as well as creatively designing outdoor spaces as extensions of the new museum's mission. Outdoor exhibits include the Geology Garden, and a dramatic space where visitors will walk beside the slabs of regional rock from all ages. The Buffalo Jump is a centerpiece of the Center's new entry. This interpretive sculpture set in a native landscape depicts buffalo literally falling over a cliff.
